POLAT places particular emphasis on the selection of raw materials. Only establishments with EC authorisation which apply the HACCP concept and work in accordance with HALAL stipulations are permitted to supply to us. Absolute traceability is a precondition.
We are glad to do our part in the success story of the döner, Germany’s most popular “fast food”.
Our concept was developed quickly. We have to produce the best kebab meat. Since then, taste, quality and service have been the high standards by which our customers measure us.

The new production halls are equipped with state-of-the-art technology and geared towards the seamless operation of all systems. Air-conditioned premises and motivated staff in hygiene-compliant clothing process the freshest meat products using choice seasonings so as to produce premium döner. Our döner production facility is continuously monitored and is awarded appropriate inspection certificates at regular intervals.
What is most important is people’s health! Long-serving staff members who have received in-house training guarantee the consistent, premium-quality of our meat skewers. We are proud to rank among the best. Because cleanliness is our topmost priority!
Tremendous attention is paid to the way in which we process meat. The raw material is of proven origin and specially sourced. Rational work processes using modern technology guarantee that Polat complies with an A1 standard of hygiene. After every stage of production, worktops, processing equipment, clothing, etc. are thoroughly cleaned with extreme care. Safeguarding against contamination is a priority for us. Only by exercising utmost care do we achieve the premium-quality for which we are known!

Tradition & Quality

1990
Start of the family business
(bread, pide, lahmacun) and grocery operations in Kamp-Lintfort (Lower Rhine).
1992
Second location in Moers (Niederrhein)
Beginning of the meat trade and production of the first Döner Kebab skewer made by hand and delivery in the area (Essen, Ruhrgebiet).
1995
Production start
Moving to larger facilities in Moers-Kapellen and starting of industrial kebab manufacturing.
1997
Expansion of the poultry meat range
Expansion of the range to include kebab skewers made from poultry meat.
1999
First industrial doner kebab manufacturer in NRW with approval for trade in food of animal origin (in accordance with Regulation (EG) No. 853/2004) and start of Europe-wide distribution; establishment of an HACCP concept; Polat products receive an award from the DLG.
